1. Offer Seasonal Work to Your Local Area
You probably have a job. And you probably have your spare time too, which means there is always some time to work some more. You can offer your services to your neighbors and, time-permitting, residents in close-by neighborhoods.
You can offer your services in different ways. But it is better to do it directly. Don't be too shy to ask people you know about extra hours. You can also do it via internet or the flyer.
If you don't think this is good enough for you, then just thing of how badly you want to earn this money. If your urge is greater than your pride, then start moving.
You don't have to do this alone. There will always be some teenagers that will want to earn a couple of bucks too. They can spread your flyers for you or take the phone calls.

2. Call a Local Contractor
This is one of the options as you could hire yourself out as a day laborer. There always are people that need help with house reparations and other sort of work.

3. Sell Some Stuff
Sometimes we keep quite unnecessary stuff. Think again of the amount of money you need and the things you are willing to part with. Your yard sale could be worth it after all.
If you have some more time - try websites like EBay. EBay is absolutely genius when it comes to selling any products. You could be making a fortune if you only know how to do it good.
If you have the ingredients, try baking a bunch of cookies - and then call some businesses in your area to see if you can sell the cookies to their employees during the lunch hour.

4. Offer to Deliver Stuff
You can contact your local newspaper to see if they need a distributor. Try various bars and restaurants. Sometimes they need extra stuff and their hourly rate could be a "helping hand" for you.
