Debt Management Solutions, Facts And Tips

As you know by know by now people my blog is about bringing you advice on money matters. As such that advice comes from all over, from me and other sources hence the article below. I hope you find it useful people. Please feel free to leave feedback. Happy reading!

By Alex Lewis

At one point or another you are bound to deal with debt. Dealing with debt can be very stressful, but you don't have to despair there are plenty of debt management solutions out there for you to work with. However, managing debt and getting financially healthy require commitment to change your spending habits.

The first step in managing your debt is to stop the blame game. This means that you have to stop blaming the people around you for your financial situation. Blaming your parents, banks or credit card companies for your debt will get you no where. Be honest with yourself and put your energy into finding a solution for your debt problem.

Anyone who's ever dealt with money issues knows just how overwhelming it can feel. Once you've taken responsibility for your finances, if you're feeling overwhelmed, it's important to talk to someone. If you can't reach out to a friend or family member for whatever reason, you should know that there are organizations out there to help you. There is help available for those who need it.

When you're able to talk about your finances with someone, this will help make it all seem much more bearable. In addition to relieving stress through talking about it you'll also be working toward a solution. You may be surprised as to what kind of solutions you may find simply by talking about your situation.

Getting serious about what you owe is essential to financial health. You have to understand how much you really do owe in order to deal with your debt. This is why getting honest with yourself is necessary. If you don't know how much you owe you are in denial. Denying the problem only prolongs the process of getting out of debt and getting financially healthy.

Set up a new budget. If you don't think you have time to track your expenses, think again. Managing your debt starts with creating a strict budget. Tracking your finances will help you understand exactly where your money is going. If you have bad debt such as credit card loans you want to plan to start paying off the balances as soon as possible. This doesn't mean you shouldn't save, on the contrary, start your emergency fund now. Put as much or as little as you can away now.

When you've gotten honest with yourself you now know what you owe, what you're spending on and what you need to cut back on. You may need to earn an additional income. This may mean getting a second job or working overtime at your current place of employment. If you can't earn more you will probably have to spend much less.

There are no blanket debt management solutions. Just as each individual is different so too is their financial situation. However, getting out of debt means getting serious about how you make money and how you spend it. The road to financial freedom may not be easy but it is possible. Good luck!

How To Avoid Bankruptcy

A lot of people struggle with hard financial times and choose the bankruptcy route as a way out of their problem. Bankruptcy can be a way to put an end to financial struggles but in some cases it is not the best option to take. There are other alternatives that can be tried that could possibly help you avoid bankruptcy.

Some people think that once they file for bankruptcy, they will be saved from their debt. But, the truth is that filing for bankruptcy isn't a good way to pay your creditors, no matter what route you plan on taking. Sometimes, people still have to pay some of their previous debt owed out even after being declared  bankrupt.

Bankruptcy is not something to be taken lightly. It is a serious matter that will stay on your record for many years. You may have a hard time getting a mortgage or loans. Therefore if you can avoid bankruptcy, it is usually a good idea to do so.

The first thing that you can do to learn how to avoid bankruptcy is to realize that you have a problem. If you recognize that you have a spending or debt problem, you can see that you need help. If you do notice these problems, the debt is only going to keep building and it's going to be even harder to get out of debt without filing for bankruptcy.

One way you can get help is through credit counseling. If your finances are in a mess because you aren't a good planner or budgeter, they can teach you the skills you need. It is best to get help before your finances have become such a mess that you can't avoid bankruptcy.

If you need help deciding if you should work to avoid bankruptcy or if you should file, have your case evaluated. A professional can look your situation over and help you determine if it is even feasible for you to try and avoid bankruptcy. You can have this done by a credit counselor or on a bankruptcy site online.

A good place to go for credit counseling is a bank. Try to find a reputable bank to help solve your debt build up. A good place to start would be the bank that you already use for your other financial services. All you have to do is talk to them about your debt situation and they will most likely help you set up a good approach to help you learn how to avoid bankruptcy.

Depending upon the state you live in, you could lose all of your assets when you file for bankruptcy. Therefore, you may be able to avoid bankruptcy by selling your assets since you will lose them anyway. Use the money you get from the sale to pay down your debt. If you can't sell some of your assets you may be able to give them to a creditor in exchange for canceling your debt depending upon the situation.

Once you have gotten outof debt, you must do everything in your power to avoid ending up in the same situation again. The means you used to avoid bankruptcy the first time round might not be available to you again so the next time bankruptcy may be inevitable. You should get the help you need to learn how to plan your finances and control your spending.

Bankruptcy is a real issue in the current economy that should be taken very seriously. So, you should do everything possible to learn how to avoid bankruptcy and take every chance you get to clear  your debt.

Making Money Online And Utilizing The Internet

Becoming rich is not impossible. Anyone can make money online as long as they have the ambition and drive to do so. Everyone has an idea that can be used. Its just a matter of getting things in place to make that dream become a reality and create your own fortune.

Many people have skills and ideas that others in the world don't have and could make use of. These skills and ideas can be used to make money online and create riches for the person. All they need to do is to find a way to use these skills and ideas to help others and to market them so that those who need it can find them. Just about everyone has something that can make them money online. Finding the ambition to move forward is the most important step towards making the dream of wealth come true.

There are those in the world who have become rich through an inheritance or simply being born to parents who are wealthy. Unfortunately, this is not the most common way in which people become wealthy. This is, of course, the easiest way though not typical. For most people, becoming rich by a business created to make money online will take work and time. Whereas the wealth is not instantaneous, it is well worth the hard work that is involved.

However, simply finding your idea and creating advertisements to reach your customers is not enough to make you or anyone else rich. To make money online you will need to work consistently. You will need to work towards your goal or you will never reach those goals. One of the biggest mistakes that new business owners make is to begin to rely on others to carry their business. Many business owners think that they can sit back and watch the money roll in. This may be true once a business has been well established. However, especially in the beginnings of a business, the owner must continue to be involved.

Desire Is What Drives Consumers

When you have decided what type of business you wish to run, you will need to focus on your potential customers. These customers will desire what you have to offer. In order to use this to make money online, you will need to focus your advertisements on those potential customers and make your business appealing to them. One the best ways to make your business succeed is to focus on the needs and desires of your customer and cater to those. Customers are more likely to return to a company that has treated them right.

Each individual person has their own desires. They know exactly what they want to own or when they would like to do something. These desires often drive what that person does with their daily life and the long term goals that they develop. The pursuit of these desires is what everyone person aims for in their lives. This desire can be the driving force behind you finding a way to make money online. All you need to do is to find those that desire what you are able to offer.

To make this desire work for you in order to make money online, you need to find the people that are most likely to want what you have. This can be done by finding groups that relate to your product or areas where those types of people generally go in their day to day lives. Once you have pinpointed these locations, you can make a concentrated effort to advertise there thus increasing your chances of acquiring new customers. The better you are at pinpointing your market, the more successful your advertising will be.

The next step in making the desires of others work for you to make money online is to word your advertisements in a way that the person feels that they need to come to you for their needs. The best thing to do is to word your ads with a sense of urgency. When consumers feel that they need to rush in order to take advantage of something that they desire, they are more likely to do so. If you do not create this need to hurry, consumers may think about something for too long and they may find someone who can offer the same thing to them and go with the other business. You want them to come to you.

25 Great Money Saving Tips

1. Change your attitude to your mortgage
The most expensive item you are ever likely to buy is your home. If you're not in the privileged position to pay cash, make sure the loan you use to finance it is the best available. For example, if you are paying your lender's full standard variable rate (SVR) you are probably paying hundreds of pounds a year more than you need to.

There are thousands of deals to choose from and while it is vital to check the small print for hidden catches, this is a relatively easy way to save a lot of money. Remember: loyalty to your bank benefits your bank, not you. Even better, if you can afford to make overpayments on your mortgage, you'll clear your debt several years early and make massive savings. For example, if you borrow £100,000 at 6% over 25 years, you'll pay it back at £643 a month. The total charge for credit will be £93,000. But if you can overpay by £100 a month you'll clear the loan in less than 19 years, giving you 6 years of mortgage-free living and saving a staggering £25,000 in interest.
Saving: £1,000s

2. Clear your credit card debt
One of the golden rules of financial planning is to clear your most expensive debts first, in other words your credit cards. OK, credit cards offer a convenient way to pay for goods and services but if you can't clear the balance every month, consider a low-cost loan as an alternative. Do the sums: a credit card debt (APR 15%) of £2,200 over three years will cost £545 in interest. A loan at 6% will cost £209. A saving of £336.
Saving: £100s

3. Cut the cost of your fuel bills
As the global demand for power threatens to outstrip supply, prices are rising. But that doesn't mean you need to be ripped off. The domestic market for fuel is a competitive one and you can change supplier with a few clicks of the mouse. Your new supplier will take care of the formalities - you just pay less every month.
Saving: £100

4. Consider installing a water meter
We take our tap water for granted. And why not? The companies behind the supply exist to make a profit, we pay them to supply water and have every right to expect it to flow from our taps. But if it doesn't rain, supply runs dry and the price goes up. So you may want to consider the possibility of installing a meter. If you have a big home with few occupants you may be surprised to learn you could halve your annual bill.
Saving: £100s

5. Cut your home phone bills
BT may seem to behave like a monopoly but it most definitely is not one. If you must use your phone there are scores of cheaper alternatives from cable companies that package your telephone, television and even broadband internet access to low-cost dial-up services that give you access to cheaper calls using your existing BT line.
Saving: £100

6. Consider a pay-as-you go mobile
Ask yourself this: is your mobile phone absolutely necessary? If the answer is yes, then ask yourself whether you really need all those minutes and texts that come as part of your package. If you hand over £50 a month to your mobile phone company, that's £600 a year – or around £1,000 of your gross salary. But you can buy a pay-as-you-go phone for as little as £30 and only pay for the odd call as and when you need to.
Saving: £100s

7. Make a shopping list
Food shopping forms a significant part of our monthly outgoings and the supermarket is where the bulk of the money is spent. Tesco takes £1 in every £8 spent by UK shoppers. But be warned, stores spend a small fortune studying ways of making us part with more of our money than we would otherwise intend to. Have you ever wondered why your favourite song is playing in the background as you navigate the aisles? Have you even noticed the background music? Possibly not, but you will have noticed at the checkout that the bill is often more than expected. To circumvent this, simply make a shopping list. Dig out the cookery books, plan a few meals and only buy what you need.
Saving: £10 a week = £520 a year

8. When was the last time you went to the market?
One way to beat the supermarkets - that is, to eat healthily for less - is to use your local market stall. Lower overheads should mean lower prices. At the time of writing, cherries were on sale in Asda for £2.99 for 400g, the equivalent at the local market was going for just over £1.
Saving: £100+

9. Consider own-brand goods
You can buy a tin of Asda own-brand baked beans for 14p and a loaf bread at Asda, Tesco or Sainsbury's for 19p. Enough said.
Saving: £100

10. Don't buy designer labels
Celebrities are given expensive clothes to wear. You're not. At the end of the day, and let's face it you may only wear the outfit once, can you justify paying hundreds of pounds over the odds because a top designer has had his or her name sewn on the label? And can you honestly say you can tell the difference at a distance between a £600 designer bag and a £9.99 one from the market? Think about it.
Saving: £100s

11. Sell your clutter on eBay
Take this quick test: You're at home. Open a cupboard. Look inside. If it's full of clothes you haven't worn, or 'good ideas a the time' you haven't used, for, let's say, three years - you don't need them. So why not sell them to someone else who does? Ebay, the online auction house, has opened individual sellers to a world of buyers. And you can flog anything for the cost of a small commission. Tip: you may want to buy a few items first to build up your rating as a respectable eBayer before you start selling.
Income: Will depend on what's in your cupboard

12. Use your talent to earn extra cash
Let's face it, if you're not a pop star by the time you reach your 20s you're never going to be. But you may be able to use your talent as a guitarist to teach other wannabes the rudiments of the 12-bar blues.
Income: It's not unreasonable to charge £20 an hour

13. Do DIY
We're a nation of obsessive DIYers and for around £100 you can take a course at your local adult education college to improve the skills needed to tackle most household repairs. If the college runs plumbing courses you could soon be on track to wiping out costly call-out charges and extra insurance policies once and for all.
Saving: £100+

14. Shop around for the cheapest household insurance
Unless you drive – car insurance is mandatory - you don't need insurance. But it's strongly advisable. Can you afford to foot the bill if your house burns down? Probably not. Similarly, can you afford to pay over the odds for the same policy available elsewhere because you can't be bothered to shop around? Possibly, but it's not advisable. The internet has made finding cheaper insurance easy and you can compare hundreds of policies in minutes.
Saving: £100s

15. Don't automatically renew annual travel insurance
If your annual holiday insurance policy is about to expire and you don't have a holiday booked, DON'T renew the policy. You're handing your money over to cover an eventuality that won't happen. You wouldn't have car insurance if you didn't own a car. Simply restart the cover again the next time you book a trip.
Saving: £50
Link: This is Money's travel insurance finder

16. Choose cheaper breakdown insurance
The breakdown sector is dominated by big names such as the AA and RAC. But being towed home if your car breaks down is just another form of insurance like any other and there are scores of cheaper alternatives.
Saving: Up to £100 a year

17. Are you paying too much for your life insurance?
We're living longer. As a result the cost of insuring the unthinkable is getting cheaper all the time. If you were sold a policy when you took out or mortgage you may have been under too much stress to shop around. You could be missing a trick.
Saving: £100

18. Book early
Low-cost airlines have created a market in holidays for people prepared to fly to any destination provided it's cheap. You can benefit from this too. Just remember, only a few seats on each flight are sold at bargain-basement prices and once they're sold, the prices rise. So book early.
Saving: £100

19. Book your own 'package' holiday online
The popularity of High Street travel agents is waning as more and more people warm to the benefits of researching and putting together their own holidays on the internet. If your holiday consists of flights, accommodation, transfers and possibly car hire, then take this test. Order a brochure from a leading holiday company and work out the price of your holiday including all the complicated supplements. Now go online and, starting with the flights, try to put the same package together.
Saving: £100+

20. Learn to say 'no'
It's easy to capitulate to the demands of a screaming child in a packed Woolworths on a Saturday afternoon. But don't do it. Similarly, how often does a 'swift half' after work turn into a £40 drinking session? Saying 'no' a few times a year will do wonders for your bank account.
Saving: £100

23. Don't pay full price for theatre or theme park tickets
If you are prepared to tolerate the unwieldy website and hit-and-miss customer service, lastminute.com regularly boasts some amazing deals for London's theatres and the nation's theme parks. At the time of writing you can see top West End show The Producers plus a two-course meal for less than £20 a head, a saving of £60 per person, and tickets for Chessington World of Adventures cost from £12, a saving of nearly £50 for a day out for a family of four.
Saving: £100s

24. Beat the ticket touts
Ticket touts earn their living by getting hold of tickets that are 'otherwise unavailable'. Well, here's the news: they are available to everyone when they first go on sale. You just need to know when they go on sale. Simply sign up to for the free ticket alert newsletters from the main agents to ensure that you're first in the queue.
Saving: £100s

25. Stop trying to keep up with the Joneses
Trying to keep up appearances is little more than a costly illness. Remember, you cannot judge someone by what they have because you don't know how they got it. Chances are they're in more debt than you are.
Saving: £1,000s

Generate Extra Cash Blogging

Seen as this is exactly what I am doing I thought I'd post an article I have followed on how to make money blogging. The guy gives great tips and it has served me well, and a hope it helps you too Happy reading!

Make Money Blogging

By: Matt Bacak

You have created a blog and your blog is dedicated to a niche industry. Have you ever thought that the blog could make money for you? We would look here in this article, ways and means, to make money blogging. Lets first have a look at what are the prerequisites for a blog needed to make money:

1. Blog needs to be dedicated to a niche market.

2. Updated regularly.

3. Enough back links (Don't worry for it. Directory submission would be enough to begin with)

4. Good blog host or application (blogger, Xanga or typepad recommended), and

5. High quality articles or news items supported with images.

Get the above criteria in place and Hurrah... You are ready to make money blogging.

Top 5 Ways to Make Money Blogging

Lets now take a look at top 5 ways using which you could make money blogging:

1. Google Adsense Google Adsense delivers text and image ads to the authorized websites/blogs depending on the content of the website. Small code is required to be pasted at proper locations on a webpage and Google automatically recognizes the page. Google shares the revenue it gets from the advertisers whenever a visitor clicks on these ads.

Google bills advertisers on price per click basis (PPC). Advertisers are required to pay only when any visitor clicks on their ads. They bid against each other for the keywords in order to receive better placement and thus prices for each keyword differ from one another. It is better to choose keywords for your blog which pays high $ per click.

2. Amazon Amazon Associate program is another important way to make money blogging. The Amazon Associate program gives opportunity to website/blog publishers to promote any product from its inventory by adding a predefined code to their website/blog, which, when clicked by a visitor, takes them to the relevant product page. Once the visitor buys the product, the blog owner will be compensated with a commission.

3. Blogads You can use Blogads as an effective tool to have a better control over the advertisers in your blogs. You can analyze and compare your profits with any one of your online agencies. Blogads can be simply specified as an advertising service used for the web logs or blogs. From the total money generated by Blogads, it retains 20% of it and the remaining money is paid to you through PayPal or checks.

Alternative Services:

• Crispads is another useful network focused on the blogs. You can put your advertisements in their blogs using Crispads. You can move through their RSS/ATOM feeds that help in generating revenues.

• Tagword - It is similar to Blogads. It makes you select the ads and their price.

Users can place their text-based ads in the site within minutes and the ads will be displayed instantly on the website.

4. Affiliate Programs Your affiliate programs can help you earn a lot of money for selected products and services. Lot of websites offers you to become affiliate members. These affiliate programs can provide a better reach and an in-depth exposure to the products. The commissions for the sales differ according to the quality of the product, sales and marketing strategy involved. You can gather information related to the commissions by looking into the catalogues of Link Share and Commission junctions.

5. Text Links Text links has emerged out to be the best form of moneymaking source that you can use instead of cluttering or crowding the page with ads. You don't have to make these text links prominent within your website. This link can act as an extra value to your site and will also help to promote the rankings of other sites. In most of the cases you will find these text links placed in the bottom of the web pages. The best part of this strategy is that the publishers send and accept links as the market continues to grow.

When I followed this I saw results in no time. Good luck and I hope you do too.

Generate Income Online Using Affiliate Marketing

For a lot of website owners who don’t have a product or service of their own to sell, it can be really difficult to generate income online. Yeah sure, you could sell advertising space, but unless you are pulling in a huge amount of traffic to your site, nobody will be willing to pay you a canny bit of dosh to have you advertise their product. Hmmmm so, you don’t have any product or service to put out there and advertising won’t generate an income worth shouting about. What’s your next move? Well the solution is simple: Affiliate Marketing.

Affiliate marketing is a simple concept and a huge amount of websites rely on affiliate marketing to pull in the majority of their sales. Put simply, you try and sell other people's products for a commission. Commission can be anywhere from 5 to 75 percent of the price of the product. Generally speaking, the software, information products, and services provide the highest rate of commission. It's really easy finding items in these areas that provide 50 to 75 percent commission!

The best way to turn your traffic to sales is by making sure that the products and services you are advertising on your website target your visitors. If your site deals with football for example or sports, trying to market cooking lessons will fail and you can bet your bottom dollar, it’ll generate no income what so ever.

Another useful tip is to ensure advertisements don't look like advertisements. People do not come to your site to pay any attention to the banner ads that are all over the place. They visit your site for information on what you provide. If your site deals with online dating, write a few reviews on different online dating services out there on the Internet with links to the services.

So how does this work exactly? I hear you asking. How do these companies realise that you’re the one responsible for generating these sales or leads and that it isn’t someone else? When you sign up as an affiliate for different products and services, you’re assigned a unique link to place on your website or blog. When visitors click that link, the website you are referring visitors to knows that the visitor came through your site. Then, if that visitor purchases a product or service from that site, you are credited for bringing in that sale and earn a commission fee.

When searching for a product to market as an affiliate, have a scout around websites selling products or services that relate to your website's information. Many of these sites will have affiliate programs and have a link placed on their site with information on how you can sign up to be an affiliate with them.

Affiliate marketing along with selling advertising on your website (check out Google Adsense) is an amazing and very profitable way of generating income for your site. It costs nothing and there is no inventory to keep. It's all pure profit. What could be better?

In a future post I'll show you a couple of a affiliate programmes that have benefited me :)

Money Making with Blogs and Websites

Make Easy Money With A Blog

I know it this might sound a little hard to believe when you read this, but it is fact that more than 98% of the blogs out there get less than 50 visitors a day which amounts to somewhere near 1 pence in earning per week. Nothing really is it. Only 2% of the blogs are generating more traffic than that and out of all those  more than 50% cannot generate any real income out of it, forget making easy money.

The problem is: Bloggers are either doing it all wrong or they don’t want to pull in traffic (visitors) and generate income. (the second bit I cannot for the life of me believe why that would be the case). Well whatever the reason is, I suppose you do want to make a bit of easy money, don’t you? If so then please read on.

I will not go into huge details as I don't want to bore you, instead I’ll just pount out some key areas that can help you improve your chances of success or tell you where you’re going wrong. If you don’t already have a blog it is easy to create one using providers such as Blogger or Wordpress.

Find a niche area that you know something about. Don’t put Adsense yet! Write around 2-3 unique articles a week and put in some effort to write 1 pillar article a month. Be active in social networks and other blogs. Try linking others and maybe they will do the same for you helping you build up a rep.

After 2 months, if your blog is pulling in 200-300 unique visitors a day and has a pagerank 3 above then throw in the adsense ads. For the adsense placement, make sure that the ad is above the fold (the user does not have to scroll down to see the ad) and is on a place where the user is likely to look.

That should get you around 15-20 clicks a day (depends on the type of traffic) and if the advertiser pays well you can make £10-£15 a day and could pull in a £450 cheque from Google at the end of the month. Now that’s what I call easy money!

Making Money Via Creating Online Assets
This might be linked slightly with the previous one but this I feel wouldn’t exactly fit the definition of easy money but once you do a little bit of graft with the determination to achieve your aim then I’d consider it to be the highest level of easy money.

By online assets I don’t mean flipping website and all or having valuable domains. What I mean is this create a website, work on it for a while to get recurring traffic and then put it on auto-pilot and generate income with it.
If you haven’t twigged by now, I’m talking about niche blogs. Unlike the first ones, these involve less work and are far less hassle to set up. First you need to find a money making niche and get all your keywords. Next, start a blog over the keywords and the whole topic.

Write around 2 articles a week, each article targeting a sub-keyword. Start building back links slowly. After a few months, you may reduce your posting frequency to 2 or 3 articles a month. But as before, do not put adsense before 2 months. Or before your website/blog starts appearing on the first page for the keywords you’re targeting.

The advantage of this method is that, some niches take a lot of time for people to find them. Hence, if you find them at the right time you can profit off those keywords for almost little or no work.
